Community Emergency Response ToolkitÂ
Lifesaving guidance in Nepali, in anyone's pocket.
Accessing timely, lifesaving healthcare is still a challenge in many remote and rural regions. CERT (Community Emergency Response Toolkit) is designed to bridge that gap by bringing critical emergency knowledge directly to the hands of communities.

CERT is a free mobile app that puts simple, practical emergency and trauma care videos in Nepali into anyone's hands. Developed by HAPSA Nepal with technical support from Sadak Saathi, the app is built for both rural and urban users, so that clear guidance is available in the moments before professional help can arrive.

CERT includes 19 high-quality instructional videos created by the Global Health Media Project and translated into Nepali and validated by HAPSA Nepal. These videos provide clear, step-by-step guidance for managing injuries and emergencies such as road accidents, falls, severe bleeding, choking, cardiac arrest, snakebite, and more.
Â
The app works fully offline, ensuring uninterrupted access anytime, anywhere, even in areas without internet connectivity. CERT is designed for community health workers, teachers, police personnel, first responders, and everyday citizens - anyone who may be the first to act when every second matters.

The Nepali CPR Song
To make CPR unforgettable, HAPSA created a song that teaches it. With hands-only CPR instructions in simple Nepali and a rhythm of 100 to 120 beats per minute, the exact pace recommended for chest compressions, the song turns the technique into something anyone can remember and keep time to in an emergency. A Nepali CPR Song TikTok challenge helped carry it into schools, hospitals, and homes across the country.
